Missoula police arrest man after downtown shooting

Just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, officers from the Missoula Police Department heard gunshots in the city center. Police Information Officer Lydia Arnold explains.

“Grason Lamb is in custody after a downtown shooting,” Arnold said. “Missoula police officers who were in the city center around 1:55 am on September 8, 2021 heard gunshots and intervened in the area. Officers were at the scene and were able to pass information on to other response officers. Officers located a victim who was taken to hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Officers were able to locate the suspect and the offending weapon. During the arrest, Lamb did not cooperate with the officer’s orders. Lamb was taken into custody without further incident. Missoula Police Department detectives are still conducting interviews. There is no threat to the public.
